Jordan Michelle Events is a unique, bicoastal full service wedding & event planning company. Originally home based in Long Beach, New York but have since happily expanded to San Diego, CA to call it our second (tad bit more sun) West coast home. 

We specialize in creating + styling intimate and beautiful events for each one of our clients. We believe that every couples’ love story is truly unique and it is our privilege to bring that to life on their wedding day with our creative + intentional design. Over the years we have built strong, teamwork driven relationships with our vendor teams and consider them extended family members. We truly enjoy working with them at every event. 

We genuinely care about our clients, listen to their ideas + dreams and strive to deliver nothing but perfection with all that we do for them. We believe anything is possible when love, passion & creativity is involved. Oh, and did we mention we absolutely love what we do & have a nonstop blast doing it?

Meet The Team

 

Jordan Matlock

Founder | Wedding Planner & Designer

Jordan is the founder and creative native behind it all at Jordan Michelle Events. Passionate about what she does - she will be the first person replying to your online inquiry, touring a new venue, obsessing over your new engagement photos, digging through Instagram + Pinterest to create something even more fun + unique for your big day, all while touching base with her team members, venues + vendors to ensure all i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed before each big day unfolds. When does she sleep? No one really knows…

Jordan attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in San Diego where she fell in love with event design + production. She continued to keep that creative side of her growing while she worked 10+ years in management, finance, and customer service. 

Born a natural leader and goes to the beat of her own drum, Jordan decided to combine the two and give the entrepreneurship journey a shot. She launched Jordan Michelle Events in 2018 after freelancing for 4 years in New York City for several truly inspiring wedding planners + designers. 

From the moment you meet/talk with Jordan, you quickly realize how much she loves helping people - clients, friends, family, charities, fundraisers, you name it - she’s on board... She believes in being authentic, genuine, loves love, quitting is never an option, and settling for average just isn’t in her DNA - all of which is apparent in everything JME stands for. 

Her love for traveling, working out, socializing, and trying something new every day keeps her constantly on the go. Have something you’ve been totally digging lately? JoAnna Pacilio

Lead Wedding Planner + Social Media Director

JoAnna was the first Lead Wedding Planner Jordan hired, turning JME’s solo journey into a team adventure! In late 2020 she joined the team with over three years of wedding + event planning experience, so you could say this is a true passion of hers! She’s highly organized and obsessed with details, in the best way possible. Anyone who works with JoAnna says she is extremely attentive and has such a calming demeanor. She takes pride in her ability to communicate and execute your vision, all while ensuring vendors understand your priorities to make your wedding day seamless. Her goal is to create the most incredible + stress-free day for you, your partner, and your families.

Aside from wedding planning, JoAnna is a huge foodie and traveler. When she’s not at the best restaurants on Long Island or in Manhattan, she’s catching a flight to somewhere new (destination weddings welcomed)! To balance out her on-the-go lifestyle she also enjoys walking miles on the boardwalk, listening to wellness podcasts, and spending time with her pup, Mila. You could say she's a work hard, play hard, kind of gal!

 

Ciera Hughes

Lead Wedding Planner

Ciera is our fearless, multi-tasking, to-do list making Lead Wedding Planner + Designer. She prides herself on going above and beyond for each and every one of her couples. She’s your crisis manager, voice of reason, right hand and everything in between woman. She’s the one that all friends and family call when they have an event to plan + she’s the first one to slide into their DMs to volunteer her services whenever she can! 

As a fellow recent bride, Ciera knows first hand what you’re going through and what it takes to make all your wedding dreams come true!  Wedding planning is exciting and stressful but she’ll be there every step of the way to keep you calm and on track!

When she’s not planning weddings, she enjoys spending time with her family, sneaking away for mini getaways with her husband or dancing the night away with her besties!

 

Alexandria Galloway

Lead Wedding Planner

Lexi is our passionate and enthusiastic Lead Wedding Planner + Designer ready to make your dream event come to life! Highly organized and with the ability to clearly communicate your vision to vendors, you will never have to worry about a thing. Lexi has the power to completely immerse herself in your vision, understand your priorities and preferences, and then most importantly- execute! From starting her journey in the hospitality industry at the age of 15, attending design school, working across different design industries (floral design, invitation design, event design, the list goes on…) and planning events on Long Island prior to joining JME, Lexi’s integration to the team was seamless.

While her passion and interest has been around since the days of her kindergarten years, the decision to join the JME Team came about after helping out in planning + designing a friend’s wedding - then it all just clicked: this is what she is meant to do! Aside from planning dream events, Lexi is an avid traveler, beach-goer and animal lover. She is personable, creative and has a keen attention to detail. We can guarantee that you will feel comfortable, understood, supported and stress-free throughout your event planning process with Lexi on your side. Oh… and did we happen to mention she is currently planning her own dream destination wedding? #twinning

 

Elizabeth Aguirre

Lead Wedding Planner

Elizabeth is our creative + fast paced thriving Lead Wedding Planner + Designer who is always 3 steps ahead of the game. Over the past several years, she has been planning both wedding + corporate events in the city at a luxury, high end hotel. After gaining invaluable knowledge in both fields, she decided to niche down to weddings only and found her forever home with JME. Her love for the wedding industry has only grown year after year (even during COVID!) and can’t imagine herself doing anything else. Her passion and drive are equally matched by her exceptional organizational skills and extensive background with all things related to event planning + coordination. 

Handling over 75 events per year, she has the past experience and hands on approach to tackle anything you can dream of wanting for your wedding (and more!). She devotes herself to each wedding as if it were her own, is professional yet personable and is someone who deeply cares about the success of your wedding day from start to finish.

When Elizabeth isn’t planning weddings, she loves spending time with family, cuddling with her cute cat Max and enjoys trying new coffee shops in her local neighborhood. To say she is addicted to coffee is a slight understatement! 

 

Gabrielle Dwyer

Lead Wedding Planner

Gabrielle is our nonstop, on the go Lead Wedding Planner with never ending energy (seriously, we don’t know where she gets it all from). Starting off her career in personal training originally, Gabrielle did a complete 180 and fell in love with the wedding industry after helping Jordan out at a few weddings. As she would say, “you get to witness one of the happiest days of someone’s life, how could that not make you smile & want to be a part of that moment!”

Gabrielle loves to meet new people and creating everlasting memories. She works really hard to make sure she is one step ahead of the game, thinking outside of the box, problem solving and jumping in to help out before even being asked to ensure the day runs as seamless + smooth as possible. Gabrielle is excited to continue to grow within the company, be a part of so many more wonderful weddings and is so grateful to be apart of such an amazing team!

When Gabrielle isn't assisting with weddings, you can find her working out at the gym, hanging out with her pup Lucy or planning her next place to travel to. She truly lives her life to the fullest and is always down for a new adventure!

 

Danielle Collins

Lead Wedding Planner

Danielle is our enthusiastic, attentive, multi-tasking Lead Wedding Planner + Designer. Danielle takes great pride in ensuring that our clients remain stress-free, excited and fully present on their special days while she takes care of all the rest. Being innovative and having to think quick on your feet is what brought Danielle over to event planning industry. She also enjoys sorting out any obstacles that come her way (or predicting every scenario possible before it even occurs to be extra prepared!) and loves walking into an empty venue + executing her couples' wedding day vision to perfection. The venue reveal is still one of her favorite parts of the day.

This path to event planning started several years ago when Jordan needed an assistant on a large wedding in the Hamptons. When we say she was absolutely hooked from day one and the rest is history, we mean it! Event planning is not just a one day experience for Danielle either, she knows this day is a life long memory in our couple's lives and Danielle loves nothing more than to be a part of that - ensuring it is everything they wanted (plus a little more).

When Danielle isn’t planning events, you can find her spending time with her friends and family (probably asking them to take selfies with her), trying to convince someone to let her spray tan them or enjoying a cosmo with a side of karaoke! 

 

Melanie Nesci

Assistant Lead Planner

Melanie is one of our Assistant Lead Wedding Planners on the JME Team & has this contagiously calm + positive attitude about her (try to have a bad day around her, we dare you…). After years of admiring the work of JME, the opportunity came up to join the team and Melanie jumped on it. Originally working as an event coordinator for NBC Sports, Melanie has always had an interest in crossing over to the wedding industry and loves the creative journey behind each wedding. She loves meeting new people and being a helping hand in creating memories that last a lifetime. Always calm under pressure, she will make sure your big day goes off without a hitch! Melanie is very excited to grow her event portfolio within JME and to be a part of making client’s dream weddings become a reality.

When Melanie isn’t assisting with weddings, she is planning fundraising events for a Veteran Non-Profit organization or cheering for her hometown team - The Buffalo Bills! You can always catch her outdoors with her family, whether it’s hanging out on the beach, hiking, skiing or dancing the night away at concerts.

 

Rachel Sanderson

Lead Wedding Planner  

Rachel is our positive outlook, always smiling Lead Wedding Planner + Designer who has this bubbly personality & laugh that is super contagious - watch out!

Rachel has loved planning events for as long as she can remember. You know how every family + friend group has that one person that they always use as their ‘go to’ planner? Yep, that’s Rachel. Whether it was planning a small family anniversary dinner, a Friendsgiving, or assisting her sister with her wedding plans; Rachel’s attention to detail is second to none. She enjoys adding her creative outlook and attention to the personalized details to produce an event as unique as the couples themselves! It is Rachel’s goal to have guests walking away from her couple’s wedding at the end of the night saying ‘wow, this wedding was totally them!’

When Rachel isn’t busy planning and executing flawless events, she enjoys quality time with her (new) hubby and their two dogs.  Family and friends are important to Rachel; and they often reap the delicious benefits of her passion for cooking, baking and exploring new recipes often! She loves to travel and is always up to seeking new adventures!

 

Veronica Martinez

Southern California Lead Wedding Planner  

Veronica is our diligent, organized Virgo with a strong eye for detail! She loves being the stress relief to every couple by going above and beyond in her planning process. Veronica thinks on the fly and thrives under pressure. She is imaginative, creative, and open minded in a way that allows her to fully immerse herself in our clients wedding dreams to help them become a reality. She loves a party and being able to watch her clients celebrate their love on the dance floor with friends and family is the best part of the night!

Veronica's JME adventure started shortly after Jordan made the big decision to go bicoastal! Veronica was born and raised here in San Diego. She had been doing events since high school, then for retail stores, and eventually found her place with JME. After the first wedding her and Jordan had done together everything fell into place and she became JME's first Lead Wedding Planner on the West Coast!

When Veronica isn't planning events, you can find her in the sunshine surrounded by her family and two doggies, at a Padres game with a margarita in hand, or trying a new DIY project she found on Pinterest!

 

Lauren Bender

Assistant Lead Planner

Lauren is one of our Assistant Planners who joined the team after a friend/lead planner (ahemm Danielle) just couldn't say enough good things about working with JME! And boy, is she so happy + grateful to have joined the team.

Lauren is a goal oriented professional and an energized team player who takes initiative and flourishes in fast-paced and high pressure situations. But she also is a big softy who tears up at literally every ceremony and vow exchange no matter if she's known you for years or just a few hours.

Lauren has a background as an event coordinator for an assisted living center where she managed the daily programs and events for the 100+ residents, focusing on events that promoted activity, independence, and social interaction. It was truly one of the most rewarding experiences that taught her an abundance of patience, understanding and even how to drive a 14 passenger bus.

When she's not assisting with weddings, she's servicing her accounts in the commercial insurance world. While it's not nearly as exciting as a wedding, it keeps her busy while she plans her next destination to visit. She travels as much as she can squeeze in - next stop Mexico City and Antigua after that. Au Revoir!
